So I like to divide my foundations into 3 categories: 'no make up' make up, everyday work and full on face! Here's some of my favourite foundations and the reasons why...
L'OREAL NUDE MAGIQUE BB CREAM
On my days off I like to rock my ‘no make up’ makeup look and BB creams do just the trick! I like Nude Magique BB cream for medium skin tones for evening out my skin texture and giving me just a little glow. Another great idea for minimal makeup is to just add a little foundation to your regular moisturizer and voila!
MAC STUDIO FIX FLUID
This is my go to ‘everyday work’ foundation. I work in a salon environment where a full face of make up is expected everyday. It’s medium-buildable coverage with a natural matte finish. I love this foundation and have used it for about 4 or 5 years. I set it with translucent powder and it lasts all day. I do wear NW25 which is way too dark for my natural skin tone but as I wear tan NW25 matches up perfectly.
REVLON COLORSTAY
Also another ‘everyday work’ foundation and the best dupe ever for Studio Fix fluid. I live about an hour away from my nearest MAC store so when I run out I turn to my Revlon Colorstay in Rich Tan. It has the same benefits as Studio Fix without the price tag.
MAC FULL COVERAGE
They’re not lying when they say full coverage! This foundation is packaged in a compact and is described as being smooth to apply and easy to blend - yeah provided you heat it first! I found a great tip to hold your hair dryer over the foundation to make it a little more liquid and then I apply it with a stippling brush. It gives the most amazing coverage for a night out (again I wear NW25 with plenty of tan!).
